About Me

Hi there! I'm Alex. I'm 24 years old and I was born in Virginia, where I lived for the first twenty years of my life. At 20 years old, I moved to West Virginia, then at age 22 to Tulsa, Oklahoma. I returned to Manassas in the summer of 2023 and I am so excited to be back!

I'm an animal lover and pet owner - I'm an equestrian of 15 years and currently own one (chaos causing) cat. I'm very experienced with caring for many types of animals including, but not limited to, birds, dogs, cats, fish, and lizards. If I had to pick one type of animal as a favorite to look after, I would choose cats, but all different types of animals make me happy!Β

I'm currently a full-time online college student earning my Master's in Public Hostpry. My college is done remotely so I can work comfortably from your home while caring for your pets. I also work at George Washington's Mount Vernon part-time. I work there two days a week and one day every other weekend. On the days that I go in, I am able to provide early morning drop ins and evening drop ins after I get home from work. As I am unable to guarantee my work schedule, I typically do not accept bookings for dogs who can not be left alone for eight hours; for these cases I may refer you to my colleague, Kayla, depending on her availability. Please reach out with any questions about my schedule!

I've been providing pet care for over ten years, professionally for four. With scores of clients spanning three states (Virginia, West Virginia, and Oklahoma) I am experienced in dealing with all types of animals and all their (occasionally ornery) behaviors. I love each and every one as if they were my own, because that's exactly the level of care I would like to receive for my own fur baby. I moved into pet care from banking because I hated sitting at the teller station all day, and wanted to spend my time doing what I really love - pet care! Before I decided to become a teacher, I had been dead-set on becoming a vet tech. That is no longer in the cards for me, but loving on your animals certainly is!
